As a freshmen, this whole really fast pace, heavy work load, constant tests and quizzes is fairly new to me. Luckily, I have handled it pretty well. Although High school is way harder then middle school, I think it’s more enjoyable than middle school (Don’t get me wrong, middle school was fun as well). This year, all of my classes are more discussion based and interactive; not just, “Read this and fill out a worksheet”. This is much better for me because I am an Auditory and Tactile learner. I realized that it is easier for me to retain information that I have talked about not just read.
Knowing my learning style has benefitted me in my acting career. Yes, I can memorize a script pretty darn quick, but I need to talk about the story to really connect to the script.
